Delegate FAQ

  • Workshops - Tuesday 22 March 2022
  • Exhibition & Conference - Wednesday 23 March & Thursday 24 March 2022
  • No, your registration has automatically been transferred to the new conference dates.

All speaker presentations will be filmed, so that delegates will have the option to view the conference sessions virtually, if they are unable to attend in-person.

HiNZ is focused on making the conference content accessible to all delegates, regardless of your location. This requires significant investment, so we are not providing refunds due to the postponement. Alternatively, we can arrange, on request, to transfer your conference pass to another colleague. (Please note that transferring your pass would mean that you are no longer a delegate and would therefore be unable to view the conference presentations online.)

We don't know yet. HiNZ is considering the implications of the My Covid Record app and is waiting on more detailed information from the government about the logistics and legalities and the processes we would need to follow.

In the meantime, based on media statements made by the government, it would be prudent for anyone planning to attend a large-scale, in-person event in 2022 to assume that it is more likely to be feasible if you are vaccinated and to plan accordingly.

Yes. It will be extended until 30 November 2021. To view the registration options please go here.

Yes the programme will change in layout and timing. The venue layout is different as we couldn't book exactly the same rooms, so we have been required to change the programme to fit into the venue. The programme will be released in late October, after we have finalised details.

After we finish it, the programme will be on this page

If you have a question about the programme, please email Kim, the HiNZ CEO, on ceo@hinz.org.nz

Yes they are also postponed and are shifting to March with the conference.

Most of the workshops are scheduled for Tuesday 22 March 2021. The HCH Symposium is on Wednesday 23 March 2021.

Workshop details will be updated on the workshop pages, after we finalise room allocations with the venue.

Yes, we will release a digital version of all the presentations, so that any delegates who can't attend in-person are able to watch it on-demand, online.

This will be released after the conference. It is not being live-streamed.

    FAQ Speakers

We will contact each speaker directly via email to notify them of their session time and to answer any specific questions they may have about that. You can expect to hear from us sometime during mid to late October.

We can discuss options with you. However, There are limited session options so moving dates might be tricky.

We can broadcast your presentation to delegates virtually, if you aren't able to be there in-person.

HiNZ will require every speaker to pre-record their presentation by self-filming it prior to the event, using Zoom (or a similar service) via your own webcam. Go to our  Filming tips  page or our Filming FAQ  page for more details.

Please notify Kim at ceo@hinz.org.nz if you have a date clash and are unable to present in-person.

HiNZ will no longer film any speakers 'live' at our conference. This is due to the risks inherent in running events in an era of snap lockdowns.

From now on, HiNZ will require every speaker to pre-record their presentation by self-filming it prior to the event, using Zoom (or a similar service) via your own webcam. This means, we will have the ability to broadcast your presentation to delegates virtually, if you aren't able to be at the event in-person for whatever reason, or if the event needs to go virtual at the last moment due to a snap lockdown.

Go to our Filming tips page or our Filming FAQ page for more details.

    FAQ Exhibitors

The exhibition will run on Wednesday 23 March and Thursday 24 March 2022.

The pack-in will be on Tuesday evening 22 March, and the pack out will be on Thursday late afternoon.

Yes. We were unable to secure the Shed 6 side of the venue, so there will be a plenary stage inside the exhibition hall. This will be of great benefit to exhibitors as it will keep delegates in the exhibition hall all day. There will be a few breakout sessions upstairs at TSB Arena.

We will use a 'silent conference' personal delegate headphone system to ensure that the sound of the presentations doesn't interrupt your ability to have conversations with delegates at your booth.

We are still considering this and will confirm soon.

We don't know yet. HiNZ is considering the implications of the My Covid Record app and is waiting on more detailed information from the government about the logistics and legalities and the processes we would need to follow.

Yes, you can cancel if you do not wish to exhibit on the revised conference date. We will issue you a credit for your booth fee that you may use to purchase services at any of our other HiNZ events or HiNZ media before December 2023.

HiNZ hasn't decided yet. We have some venues and dates reserved but we haven't decided yet whether to go ahead with November 2022. It depends on the longer term risk profile with lockdowns. The HiNZ board has a meeting in December 2021 where this decision will be discussed and considered.

    FAQ Other

We have a plan in mind for that. We will be in contact with our advertisers individually with some options for them to consider.
