The Digital Health Week Conference for 2026 will be held on 18-19 November at Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau, Auckland with an exciting new look and feel.
Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ) and the Digital Health Association (DHA) are co-leading New Zealand's flagship digital health event in 2026, which is being redesigned to better serve the entire data and digital health ecosystem.
The two-day conference, scheduled for 18-19 November 2026, is the anchor event of Digital Health Week, now in its 23rd year.
Alex Kemp, chief executive of HiNZ, says the evolution of the conference is in response to feedback from attendees and sponsors about how the sector connects, learns and collaborates.
"We understand that it takes all parts of the community to have transformation and we want this to be an opportunity for them all to come together and understand the value and the knowledge each part brings," she says.
“There will be more opportunities to showcase that, more opportunities to connect, more opportunities to learn from each other and listen to each other.”
Stella Ward, chief executive of the DHA, says the partnership signals a deliberate shift towards inclusivity across all parts of New Zealand's health system.
"Healthcare delivery is done as part of an ecosystem and industry are a core part of the ecosystem," she says.
“If there is an expert who sits within industry then we want them to give them the same opportunity to share their expertise."
Both organisations have committed to making the event more accessible financially, with reduced ticket prices and new sponsorship models designed to enable broader participation from smaller organisations.
“We are excited to be collaborating on the 2026 conference and invite the community to help shape the programme by getting in touch with ideas for keynote speakers or topics they would like to see on stage,” Kemp says.
Ward says that further details about the submission process, programme and pricing will be released in the coming weeks and months.
