SECTOR UPDATE - Pitney Bowes
Pitney Bowes has introduced a temperature checking feature to its visitor management platform, LobbyTrac, used in organisations across Australia in a range of industries including: education; childcare; construction; manufacturing; government; hospitals; aged care; and hospitality.
PB TempCheck is an integrated Bluetooth infrared temperature scanning feature that lets organisations quickly check a visitor’s temperature before they enter the premises. The Bluetooth Infrared temperature checking device is listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods.
LobbyTrac provides a seamless solution for managing visitors, contractors, and employee traffic. Its intuitive step-by-step instructions simplify the sign-in/sign-out process by capturing and storing all the pertinent information to a secure database. Visitors can check in via the touch-screen or scan the QR code for contactless sign-in. The set-up can be customised to include specific COVID-19 or health questions, as well workplace safety induction processes.
Stephen Darracott, vice president and country manager, Pitney Bowes Japan, Australia and New Zealand, said, “Having a clear understanding of the people onsite is crucial for the security, health, and safety of everyone. Over the last year, Pitney Bowes has been updating various features of its LobbyTrac system, to align with new regulations, industry requirements, and in line with the changing situation around COVID-19.
“One of the key challenges for organisations has been the need for visibility and traceability to keep workers, contractors, and visitors safe while complying with government guidelines and regulations. This led to the introduction of the PB TempCheck feature in LobbyTrac.”
