MidCentral DHB is interested to test the market for suppliers capable of supplying a fully integrated Clinical Roster Software System. The RFI is to identify vendors and to get an understanding of the potential solutions available inclusive of their key functionalities and reporting capabilities.

Responses to this RFI will be used to inform the MDHB’s (and potential sub regional partners’) requirements for a business case and subsequent procurement planning for the procurement of a software and support services.

What the DHB would like to achieve with the implementation of software:

  • MDHB wishes to generate efficient and adaptive staffing rosters, and associated reports, to facilitate optimum staff management and communication.
  • Effective workforce management has never been more critical to the healthcare sector due to budgetary pressures, increasing demand for services, rising patient expectations, a need for improved service delivery methods and the necessity to manage and control operating costs.
  • A new rostering system will consolidate information around shift preferences, sick leave, holidays and other staff movements in one place to provide a reliable forecast for aligning patient demand with staffing resources.
