NZ-Germany MedTech Collaboration Workshop
Monday 11 June 2018 | Aotea Centre, Limelight Room 1
1.00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
This workshop is free of charge for those who wish to attend. Please RSVP by 6th June tomedtechcore@auckland.ac.nz
The longstanding science and technology collaboration between New Zealand and Germany has resulted in many successful outcomes as we work together towards a shared vision. In 2017 we celebrated this relationship and some of the resulting achievements in the 40th anniversary of scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries.
This relationship has been further strengthened by the establishment of the Binational Institute of Knowledge Engineering in Medicine (BIKEM) to enable researchers and the medtech industry from Germany and New Zealand to leverage complementary scientific and business expertise. The institute was established by Professor Dr Knut Möller (Institute of Technical Medicine, Furtwangen University, Germany) in collaboration with Professor Merryn Tawhai and Distinguished Professor Geoff Chase from the MedTech Centre of Research Excellence (MedTech CoRE).
This workshop by Professor Knut Möller and team is one of the resulting outcomes from the relationship between the CoRE and BIKEM. It is intended to provide attendees an overview of the medtech industry in Germany and explore options for collaboration.
