David White Clinical Program Specialist Calvary Health Care
I am a registered nurse with 27 years’ experience, specialising in Orthopaedics. I have managed large orthopaedic wards in the UK NHS, and in Private and Private not for Profit Hospitals in Australia. Since leaving the wards, I have moved into National Department management, where I have Managed teams in Prosthesis Management, Loan kit management, Biomedical Engineering and Procurement.
During the past 13 years I have been developing and improving how surgical implants, their associated instrumentation and consumables are supplied, recorded and billed for. This, along with the TGA’s focus on improved digital record keeping and traceability of implants has led me to work with Technology One. With their help we have designed and implemented a Procedure Management module, which now includes Surgical Preference Cards. I have been involved in successfully implementing the program and associated practices across 20 Private, and Private not for profit hospitals across Australia.
In my current role, I am working the latest iteration of the module in its new CiA Platform, and building it into a new supply chain process with Calvary Healthcare.
