HiNZ Competitions & Prize Draws - Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all HiNZ (Health Informatics New Zealand) competitions and prize draws. They do not apply to any third party competitions or prize draws where HiNZ is not the promoter.

Eligibility
All competitions and prize draws run by HiNZ will have specific terms and conditions related to who is eligible for entry. Any restrictions will be published in the prize draw or competition copy under the terms and conditions of entry. Being an employee or Board member of HiNZ excludes you from entry into any HiNZ-run prize draw or competition.

How to participate

• Participants will be instructed on how to participate in a competition or prize draw, and may only enter once, unless otherwise stated.
• Participants who complete a survey as part of a competition or prize draw will be asked to submit their preferred contact details for prize draw notification as part of the survey.
  

Start date
The start date, from which eligible entries will be submitted into the prize draw, will be clearly published at the time of the competition, survey or prize draw announcement.

Closing date
The closing date, after which entries will not be submitted into a competition or prize draw, will be clearly stated at the time of the announcement of the competition or prize draw.

Prize draw only

• Prizes will not be shared between participants.
• Any prize winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries by an independent person.
• A prize winner will be contacted by HiNZ via their nominated contact details to be informed of their win and how they would prefer to receive their prize (e.g. address details, if receiving a physical prize).
• The prize will be sent within a specified time period of the winner being selected.
  

Restrictions

• Prize winners will be deemed ineligible if they do not meet the eligibility criteria for the competition or prize draw.
• Access to the Internet to complete a survey is a necessary condition for eligibility for most competitions.

Data Privacy and Personal Information
Participants’ submitted contact details (for the prize draw or competition) will not be used for any purpose other than to contact the participant if they have won the prize draw and to share the prize winner’s name and region in the HiNZ newsletter. Personal contact details will not be shared with third parties.
