Stretchy Tech
Adelaide (Australia)

Kristen Kohl is a specialist Occupational Therapist working in the area of assistive and inclusive technology. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist for over 11 years she developed an interest in the potential assistive technology could have in expanding a child’s world, the control with which they have over their world and the ability with which this technology can be used to bridge a child’s functionality gap.

In 2016 Kristen was involved in the development of a new service that would aim to be the leader in providing assistive and inclusive technology to people who live with a disability in South Australia. That new service was named ‘Stretchy Tech’ and is now in full operation providing technology solutions and solving some of the trickiest challenges that people face in their day-to-day life. Kristen truly believes that with the correct application of assistive technology nothing should be out of reach.

Kristen provides a number of lectures each year to Occupational Therapy students at Flinders University in which the focus is on innovative developments in the assistive technology field and delivering this technology to people in a way that is entirely goal directed and guided by the client. She loves to spread the word about the latest inclusive technology bringing life-changing benefits for people who live with a disability.
