HL7® FHIR® and SNOMED CT® are our key standards for creating an interoperable digital health ecosystem. Join us for a hands-on day experimenting with these standards and exploring their practical use in digital health in New Zealand. 

This event is aimed at clinicians, researchers, data analysts, business analysts, implementers and developers. Be our experts for the day as you examine how to apply these standards in your own clinical domains by:

• Understanding how the combined use of FHIR and SNOMED CT will make interoperability easier and cheaper to achieve
• Learning about the New Zealand Edition of SNOMED CT and the free, open source tools from SNOMED International
• Designing the perfect app for your domain using FHIR and SNOMED CT
• Creating SNOMED CT Reference Sets for your application and loading them into a FHIR Terminology Server
• Determining where FHIR is needed to ‘liberate’ data in your part of the ecosystem
• Hearing about existing implementations of SNOMED CT and FHIR in New Zealand. 

This workshop will be a combination of presentation material, discussion and practical exercises. You are encouraged to register early for this important event as seating is limited. And ... bring your laptop!
