Topic: A Shared Digital Health Record for Aotearoa

This webinar explores the new Shared Digital Health Record (SDHR). Currently in pilot with early-adopter general practices, the SDHE is rolling out across primary care from early 2026, enabling healthcare providers to access patient information through the shared electronic health record systems and clinical portals they already use. 

Heath Tolley leads the Digital Enablers and Integration portfolio at Health NZ, where he is responsible for shaping and delivering the foundational digital infrastructure that supports New Zealand's health system. 

Matt Valentine is an emergency medicine specialist by background, and continues part-time work in that at Whakatāne Hospital.

In his sector engagement manger role, Manu Sione supports the roll out, onboarding and implementation of the SDHR, through PHO networks, primary care practices and patients. 

Allan Moffitt owned his own practice in Howick for 18 years, has been working in Otara as a part-time GP for more than 10 years and has held leadership positions in a range of health care organisaiton. He joined ProCare in 2014.
