This half day event provides an overview of HIMSS Analytics’ maturity models, a deep dive into EMRAM and O-EMRAM criteria, and a roadmap for your digital transformation strategy. The Ministry of Health will present on the DHB assessments and applying the maturity models in a New Zealand context.

Overview of all HIMSS maturity models
-EMRAM, O-EMRAM, AMAM, CCMM, INFRAM, and DIAM
-History of developing the models
-Guiding principles HIMSS use to develop and maintain the models
-Introduction to each of the models

New Zealand context from Ministry of Health
-Scope of Ministry-sponsored DHB assessments (CCMM, EMRAM, O-EMRAM, INFRAM)
-Applying the HIMSS maturity models in a NZ context
-Using the maturity assessments

Deeper dive into the EMRAM and O-EMRAM criteria
-Nursing applications (documentation and closed loop processes for meds, blood, milk, and specimen collection)

How to build a highway from the roadmaps available in the maturity models to achieve the right level of digital transformation for NZ:
-Use the INFRAM to establish a strong, sound infrastructure
-Use the EMRAM/O-EMRAM to establish the right data collection platform
-Use the DIAM to establish an effective enterprise imaging strategy
-Use the AMAM to build a data-driven decision making culture
-Use the CCMM to enable care continuity throughout the country
