I will briefly discuss the evolution of computer vision, from historical breakthroughs to current state-of-the-art models. We will also cover the elements required to build and deploy good models in clinical practice, including recent efforts - successes, failures, trials and tribulations thereof.

I share the story of my journey as an absolute beginner to the world of machine learning , including the "why, how, what, when and where".

Biography

Dr. Akul Sharma Radiology Registrar Waitematā DHB
Dr. Sharma is a University of Auckland alumnus, having been awarded his MBChB in 2014. He is currently in the final stages of Radiology training.
