I will briefly discuss the evolution of computer vision, from historical breakthroughs to current state-of-the-art models. We will also cover the elements required to build and deploy good models in clinical practice, including recent efforts - successes, failures, trials and tribulations thereof.

Dr. Sharma is a University of Auckland alumnus, having been awarded his MBChB in 2014. He is currently in the final stages of Radiology training. He is interested in bridging the gap between healthcare and technology through practical applications of artificial intelligence in medicine.
