The types of jobs available in New Zealand include:

• Business analyst roles
• Information management roles
• Management roles in health services
• Health informatics and business intelligence roles
• Project management in hospitals or in primary care where software is being implemented. These may also include process re-engineering, and change management
• If you are familiar with how health services work in New Zealand you could be an implementation consultant within software companies.

Credentials for health informatics are usually in the form of a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Health Informatics or in Health Sciences, or a Master of Health Informatics.
