CONNECT Sponsored Articles - Material Requirements

If you are submitting a sponsored article, please follow the guidelines below. For examples of sponsored articles, please see the CONNECT Media Kit or the CONNECT public edition online.

Word count
  • The one-page company profile is a maximum of 500 words.
  • The two-page sponsored article is a maximum of 1200 words (and a minimum of 750 words).
  • Word counts will be less if your editorial needs to include a supplied image or graphic.
  • The word count includes your author bio, which should be a maximum of 30 words.

Images

We require any photos, logos, illustrations or graphics to be provided as high-resolution, uncropped, graphic files. Preferably in .JPG or .EPS format. We prefer CMYK colour not RGB. Please attach each image as a separate file in an email (or send the files to us via a cloud service such as WeTransfer.com).

Please do not embed your images into a word document, as this lowers the resolution and renders them unusable (they will pixelate when the magazine is printed). If you do not supply a suitable article image, HiNZ may elect to source an image from a photo library for your article.

Editorial (if you write the article)

The 'you write it' rate assumes you will supply HiNZ with an article that complies with the maximum word count by the material deadline. HiNZ will edit your article to ensure it has a suitable headline, standfirst (intro paragraph), author bio and that it will fit the space available. We will also check and edit your article for grammar and spelling.

Proof

You will be emailed a proof of the article, in the magazine's design format, to review prior to publication. You will have 3 working days to provide your changes back to HiNZ prior to publication. If you miss the proofing deadline, your submission may be printed as-is.
