The 'Project Showcase' is a section of CONNECT magazine. Standard showcases are text only. Upgraded submissions can include your logo, images, and links. Plus they are published in all three editions of the magazine - the print magazine; the public
digital edition; the member-only digital edition - which means they will have a much wider readership. What to supply for each type of showcase is itemised below.
ONE PAGE - STANDARD SHOWCASE
TEXT ONLY
STANDARD showcase is text only, and is published only in the member digital edition of CONNECT.
UPGRADE showcase is text only, but is published in all editions of CONNECT, giving you the opportunity to have your work reach the widest possible audience.
What to provide:
Up to 600 words - including a headline, author names and affiliations, a contact name, an email address
Your logo, in high-resolution format (preferably .eps file)

IMAGES + LINKS - in all editions
What to provide:
Up to 600 words - including a headline, author names and affiliations, a contact name, an email address. If you have an image, aim for a maximum of 450 to 500 words.
We require any photos, illustrations or graphics to be provided as high-resolution, uncropped, graphic files. (We prefer CMYK colour not RGB). Please attach each image as a separate file in an email, or send the files to us via a cloud
service such as WeTransfer.com. Do not embed your images into a word document, as this lowers the resolution and renders them unusable. If you do not supply a suitable image, HiNZ may elect to source an image from a photo library.

DOUBLE PAGE UPGRADE
TWO PAGES + IMAGES + LINKS - in all editions
What to provide:
Up to 1000 words - including a headline, author names and affiliations, a contact name, an email address. If you have an image, aim for a maximum of 700 to 800 words.
We require any photos, illustrations or graphics to be provided as high-resolution, uncropped, graphic files. (We prefer CMYK colour not RGB). Please attach each image as a separate file in an email, or send the files to us via a cloud
service such as WeTransfer.com. Do not embed your images into a word document, as this lowers the resolution and renders them unusable. If you do not supply a suitable image, HiNZ may elect to source an image from a photo library.

We recommend you structure your submission with the following components:
Title: Make it short but descriptive, so it is clear to the reader what your submission is about.
Author(s) names & affiliations: We need the full name, job title and organisation affiliation for the author, and any co-authors.
Contact person: Every submission requires one contact name and email address. This will be published at the bottom of the showcase page to enable readers to contact you if they wish to know more about your project.
Body: Tell us what you did. What is the significance of the project? Why is it important and original? Describe that ‘aha’ moment or problem this project addressed. We recommend using bullet points and sub-heads, as they make the
report easier to read and understand.
Conclusion: What next? What are the implications for practice? What are the further research questions?
Quotes: If you quote someone in your showcase, you need to have obtained their permission to do so, prior to publication.
Proofs
HiNZ reserves the right to make minor edits to submissions for clarity and brevity, to fit the space and style constraints of the magazine.
You will be sent a proof of your submission after it has been put into our 'Project Showcase' design format.
You will have three working days to make any changes to this before it is published. If you do not respond by the deadline, your submission will be published as-is.
