2026 HL7 New Zealand Annual General Meeting

SECTOR UPDATE - HL7NZ

The 2026 HL7 New Zealand Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 19th August at 3:00pm virtually via ZOOM.  

Annual Reports from the Chairman and Treasurer, presented to the Meeting, can be found in the minutes.

At the meeting, the following members were elected to the Board:

John Carter
Peter Jordan
Prashanth Koval
Kyle Martin
Daniel Thomson
Matthew Valentine.

At the first meeting of the new Board, held directly afterwards, the following officers were unanimously re-elected for two-year terms up to the 2028 AGM: John Carter (Chair) and Peter Jordan (Secretary). 

Peter Sergent (Vice-Chair) and David Moorhouse (Treasurer) will continue in their roles up to the 2027 AGM, having been elected to serve two-year terms directly following the 2025 AGM.

We look forward to seeing many of you at the 2026 Digital Health Week Conference in Auckland on November 18-19 and we are planning to co-host a Standards Workshop with HISO, also in Auckland, on November 17.
