PSA, Advisory, Knowledge, Specialists (PAKS) settlement reached

SECTOR UPDATE - Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand welcomes the decision by Public Service Association (PSA), members to ratify the Policy, Advisory, Knowledge, Specialists (PAKS) collective employment agreement. Around 4,400 staff will benefit from a pay increase of 2.5 per cent in year one and another 2 per cent in year two. The agreement also includes a $500 lump sum payment for employees covered by the agreement and increases in on call allowances and other after hour provisions. This agreement is a positive outcome for PAKS staff, including those in Digital Services who play critical advisory and specialist roles for Health NZ and has been made possible by a strong commitment by the PSA to jointly reach settlement. Following this ratification, around 20,000 of the Health NZ workforce is benefitting from new collective agreements with the recent successful ratifications of the Public and Mental Health Nurses, PSA APHST, APEX Dietitians, APEX Pharmacy and APEX Psychologists agreements.
