New chair for HiNZ

Kyle FordeSteve Earnshaw has stepped down from his role as chair of Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ). 

Kyle Forde, who is current deputy, will be the chairperson role in the interim and Mark Shirley will become deputy chairperson while HiNZ goes through the appointment process to seek a replacement for this role.

Forde says he is honoured to step into the role of HiNZ acting chair.

"I am pleased to take on the role of acting chair of Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ), following my time as deputy chair,” he says.

“I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Steve Earnshaw for his exceptional leadership and dedication to advancing digital health in Aotearoa. 

“As we continue to drive innovation and collaboration in health informatics, I look forward to working closely with the HiNZ team, our members, and industry partners to ensure we keep making a meaningful impact. I welcome your insights, support, and engagement as we navigate this transition together. Let’s keep pushing digital health forward!"
