SECTOR UPDATE - Medtasker

Designed specifically for healthcare, the Medtasker platform empowers hospital teams to communicate and collaborate effectively and efficiently. Medtasker ensures that critical information reaches the right person—first time, every time—through secure, compliant messaging. By replacing outdated systems (like pagers) and non-secure messaging, Medtasker enhances operational efficiency, improves patient outcomes, and elevates staff satisfaction.

Supporting continuous care and rapid response across New Zealand

Medtasker is already transforming emergency and clinical workflows across New Zealand, with successful implementation in five districts, including at Auckland, Starship, North Shore, and Middlemore Hospitals. These districts are all using Medtasker’s clinical tasking capabilities 24/7, allowing teams to deliver continuous, coordinated care around the clock.

In early 2025, Medtasker will roll out its new 777 call feature at Whangārei Hospital, enabling emergency response workflows to move away from pagers and enabling hospital teams to respond to critical situations with speed and accuracy. This capability supports immediate, reliable communication for rapid intervention, reinforcing Medtasker’s ability to help hospitals deliver safer, faster patient care.

Built for real-time updates and accountability

Trusted by hospitals across New Zealand and Australia, Medtasker streamlines essential communications for both clinical and non-clinical tasks. Fully interoperable, with real-time updates, full task visibility, and a clear audit trail, Medtasker surfaces critical information, tracks task progress, and enhances team coordination—boosting efficiency, responsiveness, and overall quality of patient care.

Integration with other hospital systems reduces duplicate data entry and automates complex workflows. Medtasker’s intuitive interface requires minimal training for quick adoption, allowing staff to focus on patient care.
