SECTOR UPDATE - Healthpoint Demand for Healthpoint has skyrocketed as more New Zealanders than ever visit the directory website to locate COVID-19 testing and vaccination sites.
With over 1.6 million site visitors and over 5.5 million page views in the month of August 2021, Healthpoint has given all New Zealanders equal and easy access to important health service information. This is crucial to make well-informed healthcare decisions during Aotearoa’s emergency response.
The spike in website traffic comes from New Zealanders searching for their nearest COVID-19 testing location and vaccination provider. The high demand was seen in record page views for general practice, community pharmacy, DHB community and pop-up COVID-19 testing services, and DHB and Kaupapa Māori COVID-19 vaccination services.
With health service information on the rise, Healthpoint has proven to be the number-one source for trusted and timely healthcare information, enabling Kiwis with the confidence to keep their whānau and communities safe.
“At Healthpoint we are committed to connecting more people and communities to better healthcare,” says Kate Rhind, CEO and founder, Healthpoint Ltd.
“We know how important accurate information is to support wellbeing, so keeping our Healthpoint directory current and relevant is our top priority.”
The directory is diligently kept updated with information as service centres change their hours and pop-up testing sites open. Book My Vaccine | Ministry of Health NZ now refers to Healthpoint for the latest listings of vaccination providers.
Healthpoint is committed to enabling fair access online, providing all Kiwis with detailed health service resources to make informed decisions and better navigate their health journey.
