CiLN Advisory Panel nominations open
Wednesday, 1 September 2021
NEWS - CiLN
The NZ CiLN Advisory Panel is holding its first election and there are three spaces available. Candidates must be a NZ CiLN member and a current financial member of HiNZ. Nominators and seconders of the nominations must be NZ CiLN members but are not required to be a current financial member of HiNZ.
Nominations close 17 September 2021 and you can nominate someone by using this online form.
The Advisory Panel will consist of 9 members, comprising 5 current Advisory Panel members, 3 newly elected members and 1 appointed member, all with equal voting rights. There will also be the following ex-officio positions: Ministry of Health liaison, Network Co-ordinator, and Community Platform Lead. Ideally, the Advisory Panel should represent the diverse professions within clinical informatics. It should also be made up of clinical informaticians:
- Who can provide expertise and have established, or be able to show developing, clinical leadership
- Who have the credibility to engage with stakeholders
- Who can champion the role of the Clinical Informatician, within the development of the health and disability workforce
- Who can translate and communicate between the disparate groups that work in data and digital aspects of health care

The election will be held online during October 2021 and election results announced in early November on HiNZ eHealth online Forum.
