Sixteen new members of the Fellow of Health Informatics NZ (FHiNZ) programme have been announced.
The programme recognises health informatics leaders who demonstrate “significant digital and data achievement and contributions, leadership and service for the health and disability sector of Aotearoa New Zealand”.
HiNZ established the Fellowship Programme in November 2020 and the 21 founding fellows were announced in March of this year.
An annual application process for fellows has been established and the first round of applications has been assessed and appointed by the founding fellows and the HiNZ board
HiNZ board member Karen Blake says the board was impressed with the exceptional calibre of applicants for fellowship to HiNZ.
“This demonstrates the breadth of amazing people we have working across digital health in New Zealand, and the contributions that people make to use data and technology to improve health outcomes,” she says.
“I am excited to see the fellowship programme recognise and celebrate people's work and leadership in digital health in a way that we haven't been able to do before in New Zealand.”
The new FHINZ members are; Angela de Zwart; Darren Douglass; Delwyn Armstrong; Emma Collins; Greig Russell; Jayden MacRae; Karen Day; Kevin Ross; Lloyd McCann; Matthew Valentine; Patricia Kerr; Peter Jordan; Rebecca Grainger; Ruth Large; Steven Earnshaw; Tamzin Brott.
