SECTOR UPDATE - Mobile Mentor

Mobile Mentor teamMobile Mentor has taken out Microsoft’s 2021 Global Partner of the Year Award for Modern Endpoint Management, with its excellence in endpoint security and employee experience highlighted by their work in the healthcare sector.

The award win came on the back of work which allowed Nashville-based caregiving organisation, Alive Hospice, to continue to care for its patients during the various COVID lockdowns. At a time when people were already feeling isolated and vulnerable, the implementation of devices using Zero Touch Provisioning (the configuring of devices remotely without any manual effort) enabled caregiving staff to manage their patients remotely and securely.

Mobile Mentor deployed Microsoft’s Intune software that ensured all Desktops, iPads and iPhones were centrally managed, enabling Alive Hospice to be the only healthcare organisation in Nashville to continuously deliver care to its patients over this period.

Daniel McCarthy, Mobile Mentor CEO, says, “We’re grateful to have been recognised for our life-saving work with Alive Hospice, and are immensely proud to accept this prestigious Partner of the Year Award - especially as a Kiwi company up against global competition.”

“We have a strong track record within the healthcare sector, working with DHBs, Aged Care and private health providers in New Zealand, Australia and the USA.  These include large organisations such as Mayo Clinic and Vanderbilt University Medical Center where we partner with Microsoft to provide expert modern endpoint migration and management services. It’s an area that we’re extremely passionate about, as we’re able to make a real positive difference in the community, to healthcare workers and the lives of patients.”

Jared Pedersen, NZ Head of Sales, adds, “The pandemic has shown us how important it is to have a safe and secure remote workforce, and since our inception in 2004, we’ve been able to empower millions of people to be productive by working securely on all their devices.”

“The increase in cybersecurity threats globally has also brought to light the need for IT security to be front of mind. As many businesses choose to work more remotely and flexibly on a permanent basis, it is now critical that all devices are securely managed. This is even more crucial when dealing with sensitive patient information, so healthcare organisations need to be extra vigilant.”
