ProCare signs Interoperability Agreement with Medtech
Wednesday, 21 April 2021
SECTOR UPDATE - Medtech ProCare Network and Medtech Global and are proud to announce the signing of the first Interoperability and Integration Agreement between a Primary Health Organisation (PHO) and Medtech’s new partnership program.
“This is the first agreement of this nature between a key PHO and Medtech’s new partnering program. It is a representation of persistence and vison by (Group Chief Financial Officer) Tony Wai and his team” says Geoffrey Sayer (Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of Medtech). “It is a clear sign of partnerships delivering more than any one organisation can deliver by itself.”
The purpose of the agreement is to provide continued support to ProCare’s ProFusion platform and to support future innovation of the ProFusion platform through the use of Medtech’s ALEX (Application Layer Exchange) platform. ALEX uses Microsoft’s Azure FHIR software to enable secure integration and interoperability with patient management systems. “Partnerships like this with ProCare will continue to promote innovation by removing barriers to entry to a previously obscure ecosystem.” Geoffrey Sayer said.
The ProFusion platform will provide clinical programmes and services to healthcare providers who are on Medtech 32 and Medtech Evolution in the first instance.
“With good interoperability, more time can be spent on innovation of the ProFusion platform to support new models of Healthcare delivery.” Tony Wai said.
“ALEX significantly reduces the cost and complexity of bespoke integrations to both PMS providers and Partners.” Tony Wai stated. “By doing things together to best practice standards we are reducing exposure to cyber security and privacy risks to consumers, healthcare teams, our partners and ourselves - whilst focusing on better outcomes for our patients and clinical teams.” Source: Medtech media release, 20 April 2021 Sector updates are provided by organisations to eHealthNews.nz and have not necessarily been edited or checked for accuracy.
