The Ministry of Health is developing a data and information strategy for health and disability to help guide the use and management of health information, and we would like input from people working in the sector.

Quality data is critical for consumer empowerment; better patient safety, care, and outcomes that enable clinicians to see complete, up-to-date patient data across the continuum of care; new models of care and improved decision-making and research.

We would value hearing your thoughts and views about the data issues you, your organisation and the system face, and what you think should be prioritised for inclusion in the strategy.

We hope you can spend a few minutes completing our short survey, and we encourage you to share the survey link with others in your networks.

The survey is available at https://consult.health.govt.nz/data-and-digital/aca430e8/

We look forward to hearing from you. If you wish to discuss the strategy, please contact Simon Ross, Manager Data Governance, Ministry of Health, at: data_governance@health.govt.nz.
