It is a significant collaborative effort, demonstrating that information models can be shared across vendors and implementation for similar purpose but addressing different aspect of the problem, and noticeably has fast-tracked development because of the underlying philosophy of reuse and sharing. Likewise, these templates are all in the public domain and can be shared, reused or used as a starting point for others to leverage their own datasets so this momentum has potential to grow further.
