Siren, an Investigative Intelligence Platform, have recently adapted their suite of solutions to actively undertake contact tracing across the entire population to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Siren has already been implemented by two countries and is under consideration in Malaysia, France, Morocco.
The countries that are moving quickly to implement Siren have found the added value of Siren include:
- The speed with which the Siren solution can be set up and ready to go (~2 days)
- The scale of data with which Siren can work
Siren is not restricted in terms of the data (location, airline, shipping etc ) with which it can work to target and isolate the right individuals and recommends a mobile app with Bluetooth technology because that is how to get the most precise location. This does require downloading the app.
Another option that one of their partners offers is an applet that can be downloaded to a mobile phone’s SIM card. The applet provides precise location information. This approach can be handled through cooperation with the mobile providers and does not require the users to do anything.
The biggest challenge is getting precise enough data for Siren to work with, which is a function of the information available from the mobile providers and the nation’s privacy laws.
Siren are keen to assist with contact tracing and believe they have a solution of real value in this crisis.
