This year’s first HL7NZ event will be held on Tuesday 28 April at the Novotel Hotel, Auckland Airport and will focus on HL7 FHIR implementation at a national level and – in the context of the national Health Information Platform project – is of great relevance to everyone involved and interested in healthcare interoperability.
It also represents a rare opportunity to hear and engage with the ‘Father of HL7 FHIR’, FHIR product director Grahame Grieve.
Following keynote presentations from Shayne Hunter, deputy director-general, Data & Digital, Ministry of Health and Dr Will Reedy, CEO Spark Health, Grahame Grieve will present on the following broad topics:
- FHIR implementation guides (including building and supporting communities)
- FHIR implementation around the world
- Vision of a FHIR-based national programme.
Dr David Hay (HL7NZ chair emeritus and co-chair FHIR Management Group) will then provide an update on the work currently in progress to provide FHIR APIs for the Health Provider Index, National Health Index and other local FHIR-based initiatives.
The event will conclude with a panel, consisting of the day’s presenters and representatives from regional programmes, to whom you will be invited to “Ask the hard questions on FHIR implementation”, followed by networking drinks and nibbles.
Registrations will open shortly but, in the meantime, If you have any questions about the seminar please email HL7 chair Peter Jordan at pkjordan@xtra.co.nz.
To take advantage of significant discounts for this and future HL7NZ Events, we encourage non-members to join us by sending an email with your full contact details and we will send you an invoice.
