Ministry tenders for Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Panel
Wednesday, 5 September 2018
Return to eHealthNews.nz home page The Ministry of Health is tendering for a Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Panel to support its internal business requirements.
It has released a Request for Proposal to select a panel of suppliers with the capability and capacity to deliver technical and business engagement resources with BI and DW skills in Qlik Sense, SAS, WhereScape RED, Oracle R and architecture.
The Ministry says use of these tools will enable more robust and reliable business information and analysis.
MoH group manager Tracey Vandenberg says health providers such as DHBs will not be able to make use of the panel. However, the Ministry can share lessons learned once the panel is established to assist health providers and DHBs to procure similar services.
The RFP says the Ministry aims to have contracts signed by 23 November 2018 with an intended term of three years plus three years. It will review the panel membership each year to assess whether the skills on the panel are in keeping with the current business requirements.
