The power of digital identity

Digital identification is critical to ensuring the right health services are provided at the right time to the right person and improves information privacy, security and trust. In this webinar Peter Marks, MoH manager architecture and standards will update viewers on work being done nationally to address the need for digital identities in healthcare. International speakers from Imprivata will provide a view of what is happening globally in this space and introduce the Imprivata Digital Identity Framework.

Sean Kelly
Chief Medical Officer
Imprivata

 

Dr. Sean Kelly is the Chief Medical Officer at Imprivata where he heads the company’s Clinical Workflow Productivity team and advises on the clinical practice of healthcare IT security. In addition to serving as Imprivata CMO, Dr. Kelly practices medicine and teaches at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a level one trauma center and academic teaching hospital in Boston, MA. He trained at Harvard College, University of Massachusetts Medical School, and Vanderbilt University, where he served as resident and Chief Resident. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians. 

 

 

Wes Wright
Chief Technology Officer
Imprivata

 

Wes Wright is the Chief Technology Officer at Imprivata. Wes brings more than 20 years of experience with healthcare providers, IT leadership, and security. Prior to joining Imprivata, Wes was the CTO at Sutter Health, where he was responsible for technical services strategies and operational activities for the 26-hospital system. Wes has been the SVP CIO at Seattle Children’s Hospital and has served as the Chief of Staff for a three-star general in the US Air Force. Wes holds a B.S. in Business and Management from the University of Maryland and received his MBA from The University of New Mexico. Wes is a member of the CHIME & AEHIT Virtual Health Policy Workgroup.

 

 

Peter Marks
Manager of Architecture and Standards
Ministry of Health

 

Peter has more than 25 years of IT experience.  He has worked with clients across NZ, Australia, Asia Pacific, and North America utilising his skills and experience to help them deliver value from their IT initiatives. 

Peter is currently the Manager of Architecture & Standards at the Ministry of Health where he is focussed on various national initiatives including nHIP, Digital Identity, and Interoperability.
