Ron Dunham

Ron Dunham has been the Chief Executive (CE) of Lakes District Health Board since September 2012.

Ron was formerly CE of the Bay of Plenty DHB, Chief Operating Officer at Middlemore Hospital and prior to September 2012 Chief Executive of the Western New South Wales Local Health District in Australia, a large outback health system with 41 hospitals in some very remote areas.

He has a clinical background (nursing) as well as management degrees (MBA Auckland).

Ron is the National Chair of the DHBs CEO Group and is also a Director on the Australasian Health Round Table.

He is passionate about improving the health of communities and interested in addressing the wider influences of health status particularly for disadvantaged communities.
