Kate is a Deputy Chief Nurse at Waikato DHB.  She has worked in health for a number of years developing clinical, managerial and leadership skills across the continuum of care, and has a particular interest in the integration of IT into clinical practice.  

Kate’s master’s thesis investigated how to help sustain the workforce in aged care and how to work better across traditional health boundaries.  

Kate is currently investigating if the interRAI AC assessment is fit for purpose in a tertiary health care provider.
