Instructions for Exhibitor Pack-In

This year the conference has two new rules for pack in, to ensure the conference complies with the Health and Safety Act 2015. These rules are mandatory for every exhibitor and you won’t be allowed to exhibit, unless your booth is compliant with the Act.

#1: Clothing during pack-in on Tuesday

The exhibition hall pack in runs from 1pm to 7pm on Tuesday 19 November. No one will be allowed access to the exhibition hall during this period unless they are wearing:

  1. Closed toe shoes
  2. Hi-Viz Vest (yellow or orange only)

If you don’t have a vest, here is a low-cost online supplier we recommend. They are only $7.50 each: https://nzsafetyblackwoods.co.nz/en/ace-day-safety-vest-each--d47nz

#2: All electrical cables on your booth must be tested and tagged

To comply with the Health and Safety Act 2015 and the Electricity Safety Regulations 2010 all electrical cables must be tested and tagged to certify they are safe to use.

HiNZ has contracted a qualified Test and Tag technician to be on site throughout pack in. He will be available to test any untagged cables for $6.00 plus gst per cable tested. To make it hassle-free, HiNZ will send your company an invoice after the conference if you need to use his services, so you won’t have to carry payment with you on the day.

After pack-in concludes on Tuesday night, the exhibition hall will be inspected and all un-tagged electrical cables will be removed before the hall opens to delegates on Wednesday morning.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation with these matters. For everyone’s safety, it is important that we all comply with the legislation.
