Unleashing the untapped potential of technical experts: a surprisingly emotional journey

Talent reviews for technical experts often focus on retention and succession rather than development. These experts occupy critical roles in IT, finance, legal, human resources, risk, etc. They deploy specialised technical knowledge, problem solving skills and experience that is notoriously difficult (and costly) to find or replace.

These groups often have low engagement scores, are dismissive of performance conversations, and cynical about structured personal development.  Yet the organisation needs them to commit to building positive relationships outside their technical silos, and find ways of adding critical business value.

This presentation will help you to unleash the untapped potential of technical experts in your organisation, by sharing insights that include:

  • How a unique new capability model designed specifically for technical experts creates a paradigm shift in their thinking about who they are and what impact they can have;
  • What 200 remarkable personal development plans created by technical experts tell us about their untapped potential and development needs.
