Social Functions at 2017 HiNZ Conference
There are three organised social functions during the conference. The welcome function and awards lunch are free for delegates to attend. The networking dinner is optional and costs $149 per person.
Welcome Function - Wednesday 1 November
The welcome function is 5.30 -7.30pm in the Exhibition Hall, Energy Events Centre, Rotorua. This event is free to attend for conference delegates. You will be served canapes & beverages
Networking Dinner at Skyline - Thursday 2 November
This year's dinner is from 6pm - 11pm at Skyline Rotorua, with great food, fun activities and fantastic networking. (Buses leave the Energy Events Centre from 5.30pm.)
The cost of a ticket is only $149 including gst.
For this you get:
- three course, all-you-can-eat, buffet meal at Skyline's excellent Stratosphere restaurant
- beverage and bar service
- bus transfers to/from Skyline
- return gondola ride to/from the Skyline complex
- free unlimited access to ride on Luge
- free unlimited access to ride on Zipline
- free unlimited access to ride on Skyswing
The luge, zipline and skyswing activities will run from 6pm to 8pm. Dinner and beverages will be available anytime between 6pm to 10pm. The venue has indoor/outdoor flow to make networking easy. This year there are no speeches, formalities or allocated seating. Just four fantastic hours of networking. Dress code is casual.

HiNZ & NZHIT Awards Lunch - Friday 3 November
Friday 3 November from 12.30pm to 1.30pm in the Bay Trust Forum at the Energy Events Centre. This is a free event for conference delegates, with a sit down buffet meal and awards ceremony. This will be followed by dessert and coffee in the exhibition hall from 1.30pm to 2pm, and the announcement of the winners of the booth prize draws. The conference closes at 2pm.
