Telepresence - Technology for service delivery to rural NZ, September 29th 2005
Telepresence - Technology for innovative service delivery to rural New Zealand
Thursday 29th September 1 – 3pm, Auckland University School of Nursing
Health Informatics New Zealand and the School of Nursing at the University of Auckland invite you to a seminar. Mobile Surgical Services deliver state-of-the-art surgical services to rural communities. At the same time they use the latest communications technology to ‘virtually’ teleport medical experts to their New Zealand colleagues in the mobile operating theatre. Both parts of the project allow better access to surgical services for patients in their home towns.
Guest Speakers:
- Lorna Davies, Clinical Nurse Educator
- Maryanne Sweeney, General Manager Mobile Surgical Services - a bus service that moves around the whole country!
Venue:

Auckland University School of Nursing
Medical and Health Sciences Building, 5th Floor, Room 3592
85 Park Road
Grafton, Auckland
Note: The School of Nursing is opposite Auckland City Hospital.
