'Enabling Sector-Wide eHealth Transformation' - Assembling the Building Blocks

In the first HINZ seminar for 2010, we laid out a game plan for Enabling Sector-Wide eHealth Transformation. The next two seminars will focus on Assembling the Building Blocks, particularly patient-held records and e-referrals. What related projects and activities are taking place in the NZ health sector?

Anna-Lisa Silvestre is in charge of Kaiser Permanente's personal health records system, used by over 3 million members. See Anna-Lisa speaking about the system in this video.
Sanjeewa Samaraweera is the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Product Strategy for Medtech, the New Zealand based company that has launched the most successful Australasian personal health record initiative to date – “ManageMyHealth”.
Adrian Lumsden, IT Manager, Hutt Valley DHB; the organisation that has pioneered development of eReferrals within the New Zealand health system.
Dr David Kerr (invited), The Canterbury Initiative. Healthcare providers in Christchurch have been collaborating on the development of a regional initiative.
Tony Cooke, is the Chief Information Officer for Hutt Valley DHB. For the past year he has been seconded to the National Health IT Board where he is one of the key staff members. He was co-author of NZ's 2010 Health IT Plan.
