Aged Care - Care in the Community - 25 May 2007 - Auckland

Care in the Community and the Emerging Importance of Connected IT

Friday 25th May 2007, Deloitte Building, Wyndham Street, Auckland [map]

A key platform of today's healthcare strategy is to keep chronically ill patients in the community. We understand that achieving this is increasingly assisted by clever IT systems and services. Out objective is to stimulate discussion on this topic and to create a forum in which information can be disseminated and shared. Until very recently use of IT in community healthcare was severely constrained by lack of mobile communications services. Gradually this deficiency has been overcome and a range of innovative systems and services has become available to assist care providers to look after patients in their communities.
