Health Informatics New Zealand (HINZ) is a national, not-for-profit organisation whose focus is to facilitate improvements in business processes and patient care in the health sector through the application of appropriate information technologies.

To join HINZ or pay your annual dues click here. You will be given an option to pay online with credit card, or generate an invoice for payment at a later date. (Invoicing for companies only.)

Constitution

The constitution, which is a legal requirement, is the governing regulations of our organisation. The executive committee review this document annually prior to our Annual General meeting to ensure it provides appropriate governance. Specific rules and regulations are added and updated as required by the executive committee.

Health Innovation Exchange

Innovation in health is the primary focus of the Health InnoVation Exchange (HIVE), launched at the HINZ 2009 conference and exhibition.

Innovation in the health sector is often isolated and uncoordinated; need is recognised at the front line, but it struggles to gain the support it needs to turn ideas into practice. The HIVE, developed by the National Institute for Health Innovation (NIHI), is where people, organisations, ideas, debate, experience, research, investors and other enablers come together to create the innovation culture, practice and the momentum that are the foundation for building a 21st century health service.
