The HIMSS Analytics EMRAMSM: A Strategic Roadmap towards a Digital Hospital

The HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model (EMRAM) is an 8-stage model that serves as a strategic roadmap for hospitals on their progress towards achieving the ideal paperless patient record environment. Internationally recognized as the industry-standard, the various stages of the EMRAM assesses the extent of health IT adoption and optimization. Ranging from limited ancillary department system automation to a fully paperless, automated and integrated EMR environment where clinical data is being used to improve the quality of care and patient safety. This workshop will provide you with knowledge and understanding of EMRAM as well as identify gaps and recommendations for achieving success.

Biography

Tina works with various stakeholders across the healthcare IT community within Asia Pacific and the Middle East to advance the mission of HIMSS in improving health outcomes through information technology.  Her primary focus is on delivering consulting projects related to HIMSS Analytics’ Maturity Models including the globally –recognised Healthcare IT benchmark, the EMR Adoption Model (EMRAMSM). A member of the Analytics’ team, she also provides data-driven market intelligence solutions as well as custom market research services to solution providers. Tina has over 8 years experience in the market research field, within Australia and Singapore ,working in wide-ranging roles within the industry including field interviewing, quality assurance, project management and quantitative as well as qualitative research.

Selected Experience Summary:
  • Tina’s primary experience and skills are in market research services and project management, including resource planning, questionnaire development, quality assurance, interviewing and transcription as well as report writing.
  • Since joining HIMSS in 2011, Tina has overseen the EMRAM assessments of over 900 hospitals across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, including the IT maturity assessments of regional public healthcare organisations such as Dubai Health Authority, NSW Health (Australia), Department of Health and Human Services (Tasmania), ACT Government Health Directorate (Australia), New Zealand Health IT Board, Malaysia Ministry of Health and hospitals managed by Integrated Health Information Systems (Singapore).
  • Tina has also worked on a number of market research projects for solutions providers including  a study on the use of mobile technology within Middle East hospitals along with market intelligence research on the needs and requirements of hospitals across a wide-range of  software applications such as Cardiology Informatics  Solutions  and Critical Care Solutions.
  • Tina has broad knowledge on the healthcare and healthcare IT landscapes across Asia Pacific and the Middle East with sound understanding on key drivers for healthcare IT adoptions as well as keen awareness of installation trends across these regions.
