Synopsis

Patient 2020: Transformation of the Patient Experience Through Innovation Accelerators

As healthcare providers seek to seamlessly blend digital and physical experiences to provide patient centered care and reduce health inequalities, the conditions are perfect for the innovation accelerator revolution. In this presentation, IDC New Zealand’s Louise Francis will present five key innovation accelerators that IDC have identified as redefining the healthcare sector over the next 3-4 years. Whether it’s cognitive computing solutions, robotic surgery, virtual care or cybersecurity, healthcare is on the precipice of a paradigm change. Louise will also present IDC’s research findings on how ready New Zealand’s healthcare ecosystem is for this change, how its maturity compares to its global peers and what work still needs to be done to transform the patient experience by 2020.
