Universal Health Coverage (Global Telehealth 2016)

At the Global Telehealth 2015 conference in Canada a special session was convened with World Health Organisation support, to explore the role eHealth could play in advancing the cause of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) internationally. A particular issue of concern was the slow and fractioned adoption of eHealth in developing world settings, which was seen as an inhibitor for UHC. A Position Paper was subsequently developed addressing this issue and will be publicly launched at the Global Telehealth 2016 conference. The purpose of this workshop is to present the ideas contained in the Position Paper for broader critique and discussion, which would help to frame an Action Plan for this important endeavour.
