Health Informatics New Zealand invites you to respond to our Call for Papers. This is your chance to be part of the clinical and scientific presentations at the 2016 HiNZ Conference. These peer reviewed presentations always prove to be highly influential and cover a broad range of themes.

Why you should submit a paper or case study

  • Show others how your organisation has been successful in using e-health
  • Share your research and studies on ways to improve healthcare
  • Have your voice heard
  • Partner with healthcare facilities, clinicians, vendors and others to present a compelling case for the value of your implementation
  • Make sure your research, your project, your innovation, your experience, your learnings are a part of the biggest health informatics and e-health event on the 2016 calendar.

Deadlines

  • Submission Close: Midnight 27 June 2016 - Do you need more time? Don't panic. Email Kim to request an extension.
  • Peer-Review of Submissions: 1-15 July 2016
  • Notification to Authors: 25 July 2016
  • Author Registration: 26 August 2016
  • Abstract Sessions: 1 - 3 November 2016

Submission types

There are three submission types to choose from:

 

Scientific Paper 

This submission requires a 2,000-3,000 word scientific paper and abstract. We are looking for scientific papers that provide insights into the latest thinking, innovations and emerging initiatives.  Authors of Selected papers may be invited to submit revised versions of their papers to a special edition of the newly enlarged electronic journal of Health informatics (ejhi) www.ejhi.net, the Australasian health informatics journal.

Clinical Case Study (Abstract)

This submission requires a 350 word case study. We want to know what you’re doing, what works and why; and if it’s not, why not. The aim of the clinical case studies is to provide practical insights into the application of the latest thinking, innovations and emerging initiatives.

 

You have the choice of requesting an oral presentation or a poster.

Innovation Project (Abstract)

This submission requires a 650 word case study. HiNZ wishes to showcase innovative work on the HiNZ conference programme so the healthcare community can learn from each other’s successes and challenges. We are looking for innovations that are designed to solve a health system challenge through the use of technology and/or information. Your innovation project might be designed to improve deliver performance improvements, drive efficiency, deliver business intelligence, improve privacy and security, or lead to better clinical outcomes.
