What are HiNZ Primers?

The HiNZ Primer is a two hour workshop designed for clinical groups within District Health Boards (DHBs), Primary Health Organisations (PHOs) and community service providers. The HiNZ Primers are funded by a grant from The Ministry of Health.

Learning objectives

The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of the field of health informatics, the competencies involved, and opportunities for upskilling in this area.

  • What is health informatics?
  • Why is it important?
  • What competencies does health informatics include?
  • What does it mean for me?
  • How do I find out where to learn more?
How to host a Primer

If you would like to request that HiNZ delivers a Primer in your workplace please email HiNZ Chief Executive Kim Mundell to find out more about how we can assist you.
