HiNZ Constitution

The constitution, which is a legal requirement, is the governing regulations of our organisation. The HiNZ Board reviews this document annually prior to the Annual General Meeting to ensure it provides appropriate governance. Specific rules and regulations are added and updated as required.

 

Notice of changes to HiNZ Constitution

The HiNZ Board has proposed changes to our 2014 Constitution to ensure it stays aligned with HiNZ’ activities as a fast-growing professional organisation.

 

The focus of the changes are to:

  • Clarify the organisation’s financial governance processes.
  • Update the membership definitions to support our activities.
  • Reflect our move to online voting for board candidates.

The HINZ Board has endeavoured to collect feedback on the constitution from a number of sources, and we now invite your feedback. Please take 5 minutes to read the updated constitution by clicking here. To give feedback on the constitutional changes please send an email to chair@hinz.org.nz by 23 September 2016.

 

The new constitution will be put to a vote at the HiNZ AGM. This will be held at 7.45am on Wednesday 2 November, at SKYCITY Auckland, during the HiNZ Conference. Voting for board candidates will be announced in early October 2016.
