New International Partnership Opens Up More Benefits for HiNZ Members
Monday, 1 August 2016
Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ) has announced its new partnership with the Asia Pacific branch of Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
Effective from 2 August 2016, HiNZ members will automatically receive free membership to HIMSS Asia Pacific, giving them access to the HIMSS member-only resource centre.
HIMSS is a global, cause-based, not-for-profit organisation focused on better health through information technology (IT). With its headquarters in the USA and offices in Europe and Asia, HIMSS for the past 50 years has been leading efforts to optimise health engagements and care outcomes using information technology.
The new alliance will allow HiNZ members to access HIMSS Asia Pacific’s extensive member-only education resources, with invitations also extended to partake in their international webinars, virtual conferences and other events. Being part of a US and wider Asian Pacific community will offer our local health and IT professionals invaluable networking opportunities and confidence to plan ehealth changes based on the latest in international best practice findings.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our members to access more international material on the latest developments in digital health and be part of a bigger health informatics’ community. It also enables our members to connect with specialists in similar areas to themselves, to share information and success stories” say Kim Mundell, HiNZ Chief Executive.
HiNZ is a New Zealand based member organisation where health and IT professionals come together to share ideas and build knowledge about the use of information technology in the health sector.
