This month’s edition of Healthcare Review – OnlineTM focuses on technological developments and their impact on the health sector in New Zealand.
The health sector in New Zealand has experienced many changes over recent years both structurally and technologically.
In this edition, we present a summary of material presented at the Technology - Adding Value To Health conference of the New Zealand Institute of Health Management (NZIHM), held in Auckland on 4 and 5 July 2002.
The conference, convened by R H Penny Ltd for the Australian College of Health Service Executives examined emerging trends and technological developments in the health sector and provided an opportunity to explore the impact of these changes on health care management and leadership.
The conference opened with a powhiri and official welcome from Pereme Porter, Kaumatua, Waitemata District Health Board (DHB) and Fiona Ritsma, President, New Zealand Institute of Health Management.
