An Electronic Health Record For Every New Zealander by 2020
What Does This Really Mean?

The recent strategy announced by the Ministry of Health to establish a national electronic health record for individuals will affect every New Zealander. The strategy will impact how and where health records are stored and used by health practitioners (and potentially others) and how patients will be able to access their health information.

It is intended that electronic health records will be accessible across the country and the Ministry of Health has said that “Privacy is Assured”. Actions to design and implement the strategy are scheduled to commence  in 2016/2017.

This event is for leaders and senior managers in health, privacy and Health technology and leaders in patient advocacy wanting to understand the strategy implications and be part of the discussion.

The event will be held in Wellington with a video link to Auckland.        In the Near Future, Sherry Karver
