However, if you feel your position enables you to answer these questions then please feel free to complete the survey. Those working in the Tertiary sector have already been extensively interviewed, but if you would like to add further information please contact Karolyn Kerr. Researchers at Victoria University and other education partners (University of Auckland, AUT, University of Canterbury and University of Otago), along with Karolyn Kerr of SIMPL, are undertaking a survey of Health Informatics IT/IM industry requirements within New Zealand. The survey is funded by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC). The aim of this study is to gather data to enable the tertiary sector in New Zealand to provide appropriate courses of study under the general heading of Health.. This may cover a number of disciplines including (but not limited to) Computer Science, Information Management, Medical Informatics, and Nursing Informatics. The study aims to enhance the provision of health informatics education and ultimately further develop the health industry and research within New Zealand. Any data you provide in this survey will be confidential to the research team, and only published in aggregated format in which no organisation or individual will be identifiable. The survey has been approved by the Victoria University Ethics Committee, and participation in the survey is taken to imply consent. The results of this study will be published as a report to the TEC, and may also be used in other conference or journal publications, and to develop courses in future years.
